Introduction and Rationale

This activity will help you better understand how business intelligence and data analytics is applied and helps business's make good decisions. 

Instructions

You have two choices to complete this assignment:

Option 1 Instructions

Interview a person who works in a business intelligence or analytics field AND include the name, position, and employer of the person you interviewed.

• Appropriate positions for this interview might include data scientists, engineers and programmers, financial services, ecommerce, advertising technology, etc.
• Ask them about how they use data to make decisions. 

Ask the following questions plus four (4) questions of your own:

1. What role does your job play in business decision making and management? 
2. What are challenging aspects of your job? 
3. What are your favorite parts of your job? 
4. What would you recommend to someone going into this field?

Submit the following

1. Include the name, position, and employer of the person you interviewed
2. Include each question followed by its answer--total of 8 questions and answers
3. Thoughtful reflection on the answers you received from your interviewee--200 words minimum
