Overview
We've had an overview of the 5 steps of Design Thinking (DT), articulated when we are at our best, and have had opportunities to work with a number of different classmates on projects and presentations.
It's time to focus on the first step of Design Thinking: Empathy. Without it we cannot understand what the needs of our users are. Empathy takes courage to listen, observe, and connect. Sometimes Empathy takes practice, too.
Well, based on your Idea Journal Observations, it is time to decide on which problem we should solve. To help understand the process, we will complete an activity in class that will allow us to use all 5 steps of DT so we will be ready to use them for our project.
