Why we are including this example

These are instructor facing notes that are included in the course to help faculty know what they need to do to set up their course each time it runs. 

 

Introduction

This page is a custom job aid to assist you in refreshing your course each semester. 

Import Your Course

Import your course Links to an external site. to the new semester, then do the following to refresh and set it up.

Due Dates

Adjust your due dates as needed from the import

  1. Select Assignments on the left navigation
  2. Select the "snowman" or "shish kabob" icon

Groups

Because groups do not import, you will need to set up your groups for the new semester.

Create Groups for Program Plan

  1. Create "Project Groups" for 11 groups (this is an example of the "Project Groups" group set-up) 
    • Select the People left menu
    • Select "+Group" button in the upper right
    • In the pop up window enter the following information:

Once you have created the groups you can name each group according to the image below. 

 

Link Groups to Assignments

Link the "Project Groups"  in the settings of the following assignments as illustrated below. You will choose the Group set "Project Groups"
