    Welcome Statement

Welcome! C1215 is an introductory chemistry laboratory course, following the topics in C1210. This laboratory course will be delivered face-to-face on Campus in Fall 2021. This section, however, is one of two pilot sections of a new blended face-to-face modality. The course structure for each experiment is as follows:

• During lab: Two hours face-to-face lab time on campus, instead of three hours face-to-face lab time. 
• Before lab: More preparation, learning resources, and quizzes, such as including concept videos/quizzes and laboratory skill videos/quizzes. 
• After lab: Less duplicated general writing in lab reports, and more reflection and scaffolded writing practices.

Canvas will be used for turning in assignments and course communication. To do your best in this course, besides performing experiments on campus, log on Canvas frequently (a couple of times a week) and keep up with all assigned web work.

Reminder, please start week 1 modules on Canvas on Monday, August 23rd, and complete the module by the end of week 1.
