Welcome Statement

Hello everyone and welcome to 2D Design! This course is one of my favorite courses to teach and I can't wait to share my knowledge with you. In this course, you'll work across disciplines - from Illustrator to drawing, from collage to painting, you'll get a little bit of everything! I hope you're ready for an immersive and hand's on learning experience. By the end of this course, you will have portfolio-ready pieces that will help you get into the intended major or area of your choice. Education and Experience

Amber Tutwiler is an artist originally from South Florida. She attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design for Painting (2006-08), received her BA in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University (2012), and received her MFA in Visual Art from Florida Atlantic University (2017). She has been teaching college-level courses since 2015, and has been full-time faculty at UVU since August 2020. Her primary medium is oil painting, but she works across disciplines including sculpture, video/sound, digital painting, drawing, and collaborative performance.
