Meet Professor Shyrel Wood

Who is Shyrel Wood? Favorite subject (besides PE) is History. She Loves Training for Triathlons. When she isn’t teaching, she is with her kids, biking, swimming or watching tv with her husband. She is a proud wife and mother of three. Her favorite foods are ice cream, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and sushi. Her biggest success is Potty Training all her children. Her goal is to be able to do the splits by the end of the semester.

  Welcome Statement

Hello! I am very passionate about physical education and am so excited to share my knowledge and enthusiasm. I am very aware that many people have had negative experiences with physical education classes and know that some students may be apprehensive about taking this course. I want to assure students that this course will be fun and enlightening; focused on positive, success oriented experiences and outcomes. This course focuses on giving students the knowledge and tools to create a positive and fun experience for their students in physical education class, which will compliment and benefit their regular classroom goals.

  • 5+ years teaching in public schools
