Items of Note

This course was developed with Instructional Designers, Julie Swindler, Brittani Ashby, and Brian Billingsley.

The design goal was to give students hands on experience with the topic. To that end, Cory's videos include not only short lectures but occasional stories from his vast personal experience living in the Middle East. Students complete a course project wherein they work with local companies who have expanded internationally. Each week, they meet with representatives from the company to discuss the current week's class topics and discover how they apply to that company. The group then writes a report for the class to read and compare (because every company is different). Students write a weekly "3Ts" report, indicating both individual and group accountability. There are also three interactive Storylines interspersed throughout the materials.
