Items of Note

This course was developed with Instructional Designers, Becky Rogers and Kelli Freeman and it includes several different ways to present the content to students. In addition to the textbook, students view a number of interactive Story Maps. These each include graphics, videos and other materials to help clarify the course topics and increase student interest in relevant topics for today's world. For assignments, students use a cafeteria style approach to activities where they chose one of nine options to complete each week. For one of their course projects, they get to choose from a number of books on relevant topics to read and explore.
