Overview

Throughout the semester for eight weeks you will be working in a group tracking weather. 

Instructions

The weather in your local area will be different than the weather in one of your classmates area. For this assignment you will be randomly paired with 3 other classmates in a group of 4. What will your team be tracking and just how to track the weather in a team?

  1. One person will track, observe, and document weather in their area for 1 week. Then, you will rotate and one other team member will track their local weather for 1 week, and rotate again to someone new the following week. Everyone will have a chance to track weather in their area. You must document everyday when you are assigned your week.
    1. Track the weather using any outlook weather forecasts and TAFs
    2. Observe using satellite imagery, radar observations, pictures with your smartphones, and and METARs. 
    3. Document with screenshots, pictures, or copy/paste into a Google doc or Microsoft 350 doc.
  2. After everyone in your group has tracked their local weather for one week you must create a team weather report presentation. Your team will decide on  the presentation method, but it can be a PowerPoint, Video, Infographic, Microsoft Sway, or any other online presentation tools. Your instructor will be looking for evidence that all 4 team members participated in the activity. 

You will not need to meet in person for this activity; working remotely with each other can be easily accomplished. If you team has any questions, please contact your instructor.

Submit

Nothing is required to be submitted. This is a check-in point indicating that you should be at least half-way through your group weather tracking project. Remember, one person will submit your project at the end of Module 12. Please, contact your instructor immediately if your team has any questions.
