Module 2: Presentation & Exercise

  Presentation & Exercise

 Lectures in an Animation Class?

During your time as an animation student, pure classroom lectures will be relatively rare. This is a discipline learned better through demonstrations, exercises, and projects with a lot of discussion and many critiques. So, not too many formal lectures.

This course is one of the exceptions, for a portion of this course some of our face-to-face class time will be spent in lectures and discussions as they are found in many academic courses across campus.

The lecture/discussion component of this course comes, by design, in the first semester of cohort classes, to introduce an important learning element for visual learning.

If you can learn to use your sketchbook as your creative journal, it will enhance your creative exploration. You'll have creative volumes that are rich and something you can refer to in your lifelong journey.

In week two, we'll discuss Intellectual Property Law, copyright, public domain, artificial intelligence, and plagiarism. We'll also begin work on a public domain project, which will be completed in your Creative Journal.

Goal Setting

This week's goal setting prompt is about seeking inspiration.
