Introduction:

More than ever before, understanding your rights and the rights of others is important in the things you create, and stories you tell. Plagiarism, intended or unintended can ruin a career before it truly gets off the ground. In our face-to-face class we'll be discussing intellectual property laws.

• Describe U.S. copyright law related to creative fields.
• Avoid pitfalls related to copyright.
• Differentiate between plagiarism and homage.
