Welcome to the Introduction to Education Course! I am excited that you are here and exploring the possibility of a career in education! I look forward to learning with you throughout the semester. I have spent the last 20+ years as an educator, and I am passionate about teaching and supporting others in their journeys become effective educators. My main goal as a professor is to help all students to be successful in the course, so please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns at any time. My Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University
  • Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (ESL Emphasis) from Utah Valley University
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Learning, Literacies, and Technologies from Arizona State University

Teaching Experience

  • 3rd and 4th grade teacher for 14 years in Alpine School District
  • Partnership Facilitator for UVU Student Teachers and Interns at Eagle Valley Elementary in Alpine School District for 2 years
  • University Professor in the Teacher Education Program at Northern State University for 2 years
