Welcome Statement
Welcome to THEA 2100 Teaching Theatre for Children. The majority of the students in the class are Elementary Education majors but we also have BA Theatre Students majors and BS Theatre Education majors enroll. This online asynchronous course is designed to be as interactive as possible. The shell course has been created in collaboration with Teresa Love, who teaches and directs children's theatre and drama at both UVU and BYU, and Haley Anderson, who teaches arts education courses in the School of Education. We hope this course will prepare you to use theatre and drama as teaching tools in your future elementary classroom and to teach the Utah Core Standards in theatre in the elementary grades.
