Module 0: Submit: Student Introduction Video (Discussion)

Overview
In an ongoing effort to update this course this "Getting to Know You" assignment will allow us to better understand the demographics of participants in this course. Please follow the instructions below to complete this assignment. Please note this assignment is worth 30 points, this should be the easiest 30 points you earn all semester. All you need to do is create a short video introducing yourself and answering some key questions, and post one textual reply to one student (25 for initial video post and 5 for one reply text post).
Many of you may have never created a video in Canvas before, trust me, it is not too difficult. Please see the instructions below.
Video Instructions
In order to record a video in Canvas you must be using a laptop or desktop computer with a microphone and camera. See the steps below on how to begin recording your videos:
Hint: After you record your video, you can find Kaltura by clicking on the cord plug icon. Then scroll down and click on “Embed Kaltura Media” into the reply.
Assignment Instructions and Questions
Make a 2-5 minute video introducing yourself. You must reply to one person. You do not need to make a video for your reply post.
At the beginning of the video simply share with the class your background, perhaps where you are from, where you currently reside, perhaps a little bit about your family and what hobbies you may enjoy. Then proceed to answer the following questions:
- When did you decide you wanted to pursue an education/career in aviation? What attracted you to the aviation industry?
- Do you currently work in the industry of aviation? If so, tell us about your job and how long you have worked in your current position?
- Do you have additional work history in aviation, if so, what is it? **(If for questions 2 and 3 you have no aviation industry experience, what aviation jobs interest you and why?)**
- What education and/or career goals do you have?
- What are you expecting from this class? What expectations do you have from your instructor?
